Mumbles ALB requested to assist the 23ft Yacht "Camino" which was disabled 2.5 miles SW of the River Neath. She was suffering from steering failure and an electrical fault. ALB slipped from her moorings at 1625 and proceeded to the casualties last know position. Once on scene, two crew members,  were placed on board in order to assist. Having boarded the casualty vessel, the emergency steering was rigged and the power restored. Under her own steam, the yacht was able to proceed back towards Monkstone escorted by Mumbles ALB and a local vessel, "Spindrift". Once "Camino" was safely outside the mouth of the Monkstone marina, the ALB retrieved the two crew members and returned to Mumbles.
