6 Month Planned Maintenance Strip Down

ILB crews around the country put all hands to the deck every 6 months by helping to carry out the planned maintenance of their Inshore Lifeboat.  Each station has a designated and trained ILB mechanic, who's duty is to look after the general condition of the boat.  Normally the crew get involved and assist in this tricky task, which require deflating the ILB, removing all internal boards and any debris which gets trapped underneath.

The task was carried out on Sunday 31st July 2005.
