£18,000 Raised - Thank You to Everyone Who Helped!
With the highest tide of the year, we were all anxiously waiting for the water to come in!! Just before the 7:00pm start time the race commenced and the start saw 52 rafts battle their way over the course to Knab Rock.
Yet again we thank all supporters of the raft race for your kind words and generosity, which was needed more than ever this year. We are already planning Raft Race 2006 - We will see you there.

2004 RNLI Annual Raft Race
Sunday 29th August 2004 - 7:00pm
Well the rain tried to put people off in the morning, but by the time the Raft Race started we had 'some sunshine'. Rafters will no doubt tell you about the cold wind which did have a chilling tale. Nevertheless we were treated to some fantastic sites and fund raising efforts which have built on the success of 2003. This year 45 Rafts entered the race and between all of the managed to raise £15,000, congratulation to each and every one of you for your valuable support.
Looking at the race listed below are the winners and losers within each category. We have tried to be as accurate as possible with timings, if we have any information incorrect, please accept our apologies - let us know and we will amend the detail!
