The Lifeboat College

In 2004 the RNLI signified a new era in training with the opening of the Lifeboat College.  Built on the waterfront in Poole the college provides each and every one of the 4,500 volunteers a training facility which is truly world class.  State of the art technology, coupled with award winning training programmes the college provides the framework for our Competency Based Training programme.  In February 2005 two of our volunteers, along with 16 other crew from all over the UK and Ireland attended the week long ILB Helms Course.
