The ILB was tasked by Swansea Coastguard to a 13ft sailing dinghy in difficulty in Swansea Bay.  The Gib Sheet shackle had broken and the two crew were finding it difficult to return to shore.  Initially the ILB held off and allowed the yacht to attempt to make way on her own accord.  After 15 minutes, due to weather conditions, it was agreed to tow the dinghy back to Mumbles Slip.
