The ALB launched to take a tow off Porthcawl ILB, which had launched earlier in the afternoon to the assistance of a broken down 27 foot power boat, which was off the West Nash Buoy, with 2 persons and 2 dogs on board. Due to the casualty vessel being from Swansea, Mumbles ALB was requested to launch to take over the tow from Porthcawl ILB. The tow was transferred some 9 miles west of Mumbles off the Kenfig Patches Buoy.

The ALB then towed the casualty vessel back to Swansea. Once safely in the mouth of the river Tawe, the vessel was brought alongside the ALB for an alongside tow of the vessel through the Tawe Lock and into the outer basin in Swansea. From there the vessel was towed to its berth by a workboat. The ALB was refuelled and returned to Mumbles

The ALB launched to search for a broken down 19th Powerboat "Hazy Days", with 3 persons onboard. The boat was in contact with the Swansea Coastguard by mobile phone. The crew of Hazy Days were at anchor, but unsure of their position between Mumbles Head and Port Talbot.

The ALB launched and began a search using searchlights, radar and night vision equipment. After 30 minutes searching, the Coastguard were contacted and asked to contact the casualty, to ask them to fire off a hand held red flare. Once the casualty vessel did this, their position was noted as being about 3 miles SW of the ALB. The ALB then proceeded to the vessel.

Once on scene at the casualties position ( 4.5 miles East of Mumbles Head and 3.5 miles off Port Talbot), crew member Mark Jones was transferred onboard the vessel, along with a handheld VHF radio to assist the crew and to maintain coms with the ALB. Due to the vessel having no steerage and no power, a short tow was connected to the vessel, which was then towed back to Mumbles. On arrival off the Knab Rock at Mumbles, the vessel was brought alongside the ALB and towed into Verdi's Slipway. The Coastguards then assisted the crew of Hazy days with the recovery of their vessel. The ALB then returned to the moorings.
